Amazon Rainforest Largest Tropical Forest In World

Amazon Rainforest covers the Amazon Basin of South America. One of the largest tropical forests in all over the world. It covers the area around five and a half million square kilometers. It is located in Brazil and the other side of South America which includes Colombia, Peru, Suriname, Guyana, Ecuador, Venezuela, and French Guiana.

The majority of its forest in Brazil around 60% and in other cities of South America 13% in Peru and 10% in Colombia and in the minor amount in other cities. Amazon is also known as the Amazon jungle and English is known as Amazonia. It is in the Atlantic Ocean. One of the main important things is that it recycles carbon dioxide into Oxygen and because of that it produced 20% of the oxygen on earth. It is known for the “lungs of our planet.” From the Amazon river, this forest gets the name. In the Peruvian Andes, this river begins and it is about 4,080 miles long. On every minute around twenty-eight billion gallons of water flow in this Atlantic Ocean.

On each year it gets rain about 9 feet.Around 50% it gets to the trees. Around 30 to 45 feet the water level rises from June to October. Most of this forest is covered with water. This forest is the drainage basin of the Amazon river. In the world it contains the largest river system. As you know that river not looks good without animals. Animals include the charm and also include the emphasis the natural beauty of the river. Many of the animals make the home in this river like dolphins, piraracu, electric eels etc. Most of the scientist believes that it contains half of the species like 500 mammals, 300 reptiles, 175 lizards.
